Lincoln Coast Cultural District’s MUSIC SPEAKS is a free lecture, music and multimedia arts series designed to increase Newark citizens’ appreciation for the African American musical genres of gospel, hip-hop, rhythm and blues, rock and roll and house. 

 

In addition, programs include MUSIC, FILM, LIVE PERFORMANCE, LITERATURE, PHOTOGRAPHY, MIXED MEDIA ARTS as well as OUTDOOR INSTALLATIONS and one-on-one “A Conversation With” style TALK BACKS.

Lincoln Coast Cultural District’s MUSIC SPEAKS will serve as one of the lead up programs to the 11th annual festival and a program of the Newark 350th Celebration. The 11th annual Lincoln Park Music Festival will be held July 29th – 31st, 2016.
